Supporting Torture Victims in the World’s Largest Refugee Camp

CVT’s Jackson Mutavi, monitoring and evaluation officer, and Michael Kariuki Kamau, mental health supervisor and trainer, recently presented at the Regional Psychosocial Support Forum in Nairobi, Kenya. The focus of the forum was Mainstreaming Psychosocial Support for Child Protection. Jackson and Michael discussed how CVT has incorporated parenting guidance in the mental health care provided to victims of torture and war atrocities at CVT’s healing initiative in the refugee camps of Dadaab.
