CVT Executive Director Curt Goering will join other human rights leaders for a panel discussion titled “Shaping the Role of the U.S. Government in Protecting Human Rights at Home and Abroad: Action and Impact.” The panel is part of Amnesty International's annual human rights conference.

The Duluth-Alworth Center is hosting a speaker from CVT for their International Lecture. Brad Robideau, CVT’s media relations manager, will speak about “The Use of Torture: Separating the Facts from Hollywood Fiction.” The event is free and open to the public.
Ms. Milazzo has a background in U.S. national security policies and human rights advocacy. Prior to joining CVT, Ms. Milazzo was the Advocacy Counsel with the Law & Security Program at Human Rights First where she focused on U.S. detention and interrogation policies, humane treatment of detainees in U.S. custody, and accountability for past torture and abuse of detainees in U.S. custody. As a law student, Ms. Milazzo interned with the U.N. Development Program in South Sudan, the International Bar Association in London, and with the Refugee/Asylum Program at Amnesty International USA.
