Congressmen Betty McCollum, Jim Ramstad, Martin Olav Sabo and Chris Smith cohosted a commemoration of UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, held in Washington, D.C., on June 23, 2004. Dr. Wade F. Horn, Assistant Secretary in the Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services, gave the keynote address. Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey also spoke.


Dr. Vincent Iacopino of Physicians for Human Rights accepted the 2004 Eclipse Award. Dr. Iacopino helped draft the Istanbul Protocol
