Program Manager, National Capacity-Building Project

Ms. White has worked at CVT since 2000. She has a BA in psychology and an MA in early childhood education, both from Stanford University, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining CVT she managed two public health/primary care hybrid programs for underserved populations for a total of nine years and worked in programs addressing domestic violence and child abuse for five years.  She designed a homelessness prevention program that in 1993 received one of 10 federal pilot program funding awards and subsequently received honorable mention in the first “Models that Work” competition sponsored by the federal Bureau of Primary Care. At CVT Ms.White first managed the Minnesota Mainstream Project, training health and human services providers across the state, then the Trauma Healing Initiative, a four-year clinical train-the-trainers project in Cambodia. For the last seven years she has managed the National Capacity-building Project, which provides training and technical assistance to the specialty programs for torture survivors throughout the United States.
