Research Associate, Healing in Partnership

Dr. Patricia Shannon obtained a MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan.  She completed a two year postdoctoral clinical fellowship at the University of Michigan specializing in the treatment of trauma survivors.  She is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist.  During her ten years at the Center for Victims of Torture, Dr. Shannon provided psychological evaluation and treatment services for clients and managed capacity building projects and training requests.  She is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Work at the University of Minnesota where she teaches trauma and collaborates with the Department of Health on developing mental health screening tools and treatment resources for Minnesota’s newly arriving refugees. She is a Research Associate with CVT's Healing in Parternship project.
