In honor of June 26, the United Nations’ International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, Curt Goering, CVT executive director, shares a message of survival, healing and hope. 

Luca Modenesi, CVT clinical advisor for mental health, writes about counseling in locations beyond the traditional therapy setting. 

On World Refugee Day, Neal Porter, CVT director of international services, honors those who have braved escaping violence and warfare in their home countries with hope for a safer tomorrow in their hearts. 

Venetia Kudrle, longtime CVT board member, writes about the hope created by connecting healers and survivors of torture.

He writes, " The part I enjoy the most about my work is during the healing process when people begin to get improvements from the group counseling. I consider this very holy work. They replace a bad situation with a good situation."
