A study by researchers from The University of Texas at Austin and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University finds that at least 20 percent of incoming Congolese refugee women are expected to be resettled in the United States under the “women-at-risk” designation.
On September 30, 2014, President Obama signed a Presidential Memorandum authorizing the admission of 70,000 refugees to the United States.
