Sen. Patrick Leahy Speaks Out Against Torture
In commemoration of June 26—International Day in Support of Victims of Torture—CVT, the Human Rights Institute at Georgetown Law and the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota hosted a half-day symposium on Torture is a Weapon Against Democracy: How the United States is Working to End Torture Globally at Georgetown Law. Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont was the keynote speaker and recipient of CVT’s annual Eclipse Award.
