Kenzie Libbesmeier
Social Worker & Mental Health Case Manager , Healing Hearts, U.S. Clinical Operations

Kenzie Libbesmeier, MSW, LGSW, is a social worker and mental health case manager with CVT’s Healing Hearts program in St. Paul, MN. Healing Hearts primarily serves refugee clients from Karen State in Myanmar (Burma).

Before coming to CVT, Kenzie spent three years as the social worker at the M Health Fairview Roselawn Clinic. In that role, she provided a wide range of clinical social work interventions including care coordination, crisis intervention, advocacy, psychoeducation, short-term supportive counseling and psychosocial assessment to effectively identify and address barriers preventing Karen and Karenni refugees from accessing necessary services and navigating the U.S. healthcare system. She worked closely with primary care providers, community health workers and other healthcare professionals within the clinic setting on a daily basis and was a highly valued member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Kenzie received her B.A. in Social Work from Bethel University in 2018, and her MSW with an emphasis in Clinical Practice with Immigrants and Refugees from the University of St. Thomas in 2022. She is deeply passionate about continued work and research with the Karen and Karenni refugee communities in St. Paul (and beyond!) with particular interest in familial case management/psychoeducation, integrated behavioral healthcare and group work with adolescents who are struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.
