Christopher Kuonqui joined CVT in 2022, and supports M&E capacity development with international partner organizations. Prior to joining CVT, Chris led teams to develop the M&E frameworks to support implementation of the Revitalized-National Development Strategy for South Sudan, and to assess the UN peacekeeping mission in Darfur’s transition to peacebuilding.

Throughout his career, Chris has helped train over 1,000 participants through initiatives with 15 CARE Country Offices on gendered barriers to education, building National Action Plans to implement Security Council resolution 1325 (2000) on women, peace and security with UN Women, and gender mainstreaming and financing with senior officials in the South Sudan government. In 2013-2014, Chris led the UNDP Afghanistan Policy Unit to be awarded an Asia-Pacific prize for innovation in measuring programmatic impact via new technologies. He also served on writing and statistics teams for over a dozen global and national Human Development Reports, the UN’s flagship report on development.

Chris holds a MA in International Affairs from Columbia University, with focus on development economics and quantitative program evaluation, and an AB in modern political thought from Vassar College.
