Gerald LeMelle

Gerald LeMelle is a partner at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig. With more than 30 years of experience in immigration law, he assists families, finance professionals, investors, startups and corporations to achieve their goals. From 2007 - 2010, he served as executive director of Africa Action, the former U.S. Committee on Africa, and prior to that he served as deputy executive director of Amnesty International. LeMelle has also served as principal attorney with LeMelle Law Group; vice president of operations, OIC of South Florida; and immigration attorney/director of programs with the Phelps-Stokes Fund. Today, he also teaches Immigration Law for the Virginia Bar’s Continuing Legal Education program. LeMelle holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center. LeMelle is a member of the New York Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
