Laurel Lunn, Ph.D.

Laurel Lunn has been providing program evaluation and research support for CVT’s domestic and international capacity building projects since 2016. CVT’s work in this area includes:

• Collaborating with domestic and international partner organizations to develop and/or enhance systems for monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning.
• Training, mentoring, and coaching on topics related to program evaluation and research.
• Generating tools for use in capacity building, including organizational capacity assessments, training tools, and e-Learning materials.
• Cultivating innovative approaches to evaluation for a wide range of programmatic content, service settings, target populations, and intended outcomes.
• Developing approaches to evaluation of capacity building efforts.

Laurel received her PhD in Community Research & Action from Vanderbilt University, where her mixed methods dissertation research focused on the social determinants of health among refugees resettled to the U.S. Prior to CVT, she worked as a research associate at a firm in the Washington D.C. area, contributing to external evaluations for charitable foundations and the U.S. federal government.
