Sabrina Roowala, MPH
Sabrina Roowala is a program evaluation specialist for CVT’s domestic direct service programs since July 2018. Sabrina provides monitoring and evaluation support to domestic programs in St. Paul, St. Cloud, and Atlanta. Sabrina’s interests include evaluation, community based participatory research, mental health, health equity, social justice, and exploring the impact of social determinants of health.
Before joining CVT, Sabrina worked at Minnesota Association of Community Mental Health Providers (MACMHP) as a legislative coordinator, working closely with the Executive Director to ensure mental health policy was supported. Sabrina also worked at Ramsey County Public Health on their Community Health Assessment Team, curating content for a variety of indicators that are to be included in the 2018 Community Health Assessment Report.
Sabrina received her M.P.H. from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, with a minor in Health Equity. Her master’s project focused on evaluating a cultural awareness program that was created for community mental health providers. Sabrina’s research analyzes mental health in Muslims, delving into social and cultural factors that affect an individual’s ability to seek help. Sabrina received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin.
