Josephine Grace Achen is a dedicated Gender-Based Violence officer and Psychosocial Counselor with CVT Uganda, where she has been providing critical support since 2015. Based in the CVT office in Gulu, Northern Uganda, Grace offers specialized psychological interventions for adults and young people—both male and female—who have endured traumatic experiences during the war and continue to face war-related and gender-based violence challenges. Her work extends to Therapeutic Documentation, where she assists clients in recording, documenting their stories and experiences as part of their journey toward healing. Grace’s work also involves supporting partner organizations in implementing trauma informed care to provide services that foster trust and healing, emphasizing practices that recognize and address the impact of trauma on survivors.

Grace’s commitment and empathy empowers survivors and helps them reclaim their narratives underscores her impactful role within CVT Uganda.
