This month on June 26 we commemorate the United Nations Day in Support of Victims of Torture, at a time when more than 110 million people are displaced worldwide and are fleeing war, conflict and persecution. At the Center for Victims of Torture, we know that as many as 44% of refugees living in the United States are survivors of torture.
