Diversity & Inclusion at CVT

Rebuilding, Empowering, Caring

Because CVT’s mission is to heal the wounds of torture on individuals, families and communities and to end torture worldwide, people are at the heart of everything we do. Diversity is at the center of most clients’ daily experience; inclusion, for some, is a source of great hope.

CVT extends rehabilitative care around the world so that survivors can access their own resilience and strength to begin restoring their hope and rebuilding their lives. In addition, we connect with healing professionals in global locations, sharing specialized tools for healing so those communities have increased capacity to heal individuals who have survived extreme trauma. And we work with international human rights activists, providing a toolkit and effective roadmap to support them as they create lasting change.

CVT strives to respect the diversity of all people with whom we connect, and to actively incorporate a policy of inclusion into our plans, activities and organization. CVT has embarked on Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to ensure we adapt to the changing communities we serve, and to address disparities so that CVT staff feel valued and respected.
