“The prohibition on transfer to torture is a fundamental human right,” write Scott Roehm, director of global policy & advocacy, and Rebecca Ingber, law professor at Cardozo Law School, in a new op ed in Just Security. Transfers of migrants to notorious prisons must stop but it’s important to make sure that no one’s rights are undermined.
