Jared Janeczko
Vice President and CFO

Jared Janeczko serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Center for Victims of Torture, where he oversees the organization’s financial strategy, operations, and stewardship in support of CVT’s mission to heal survivors of torture and war atrocities and to end torture worldwide.

Jared brings over two decades of senior finance and operations leadership at major international nonprofit organizations. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at the German Marshall Fund (GMF) of the United States, where he led organizational efforts to navigate financial pressures amid shifting federal funding landscapes. Prior to GMF, he served as Deputy CFO and AVP of Operations at CARE USA, where he helped scale the organization’s revenue and led a major Finance and Grants Management system implementation across more than 40 country offices.  Earlier in his career, he served as the Finance Director for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) in Johannesburg, managing multi-country international finance operations across Southern Africa.

Throughout his career, Jared has developed deep expertise in federal grant compliance, board governance and financial communication, audit remediation, and cross-cultural leadership, having worked in Atlanta, Johannesburg, London, Manila, New York and Washington D.C.
