Laura Kuhlmann is the head of donor engagement at the Center for Victims of Torture, where she leads the organization’s individual giving team and is responsible for overseeing multi-faceted fundraising initiatives. Since joining the organization in 2018, Laura has held various positions, including managing special events and serving as a major gifts officer, playing a key role in expanding donor relationships and fundraising efforts.
With more than 12 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, Laura began her career in Denver, CO, where she first served as an AmeriCorps volunteer. She went on to work for two homeless shelters—The Gathering Place and St. Francis Center—honing her expertise in donor engagement and philanthropic partnerships.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys gardening, biking and spending time with her family in Minneapolis, where she lives with her spouse, two children and their beloved chocolate Labrador.
