Osama Ahmad Al-Mohammad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Yarmouk University in Jordan and has over 19 years of related work experience. He started his career as site manager with Japan Platform back in 2003. Then he moved into a role as an operations coordinator with Care International for two years, followed by a year at Caritas as project officer. In 2006, he started with International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) as program manager-Syria. In 2012 he was promoted to be the country director for Jordan and Syria until November 2022, when he joined CVT.
Osama is a fully experienced senior humanitarian professional who has worked in leadership positions for several years and gained in-depth understanding in a variety of technical areas related to refugee support operations and donor relations, as well as in-depth, on the ground experience in humanitarian and emergency-response programs. He is very diplomatic and has strong skills in building and maintaining partnerships, both with government counterparts as well as with civil society organizations. He is very familiar with protocols of case management, handling and processing referrals, and liaising with mental health counselors, case managers and health professionals.
