Dr. Reem Abbasi is a psychotherapist trainer with a focus on overseeing psychological interventions with adults and children who are survivors of torture and war trauma. Her experience includes working with an interdisciplinary team to address trauma rehabilitation needs of refugees in Jordan and providing supervision, coaching and training to the psychosocial counselors and to non-specialist providers who work with women with an experience of gender-based violence (GBV). In addition, she provides trainings to help other organizations to better meet the needs of torture and war survivors. She holds a Ph.D. Degree in professional counseling. She is based in Amman, Jordan.
