Sara Nelson is a program manager based in St. Paul, MN. She joined CVT in 2022. Sara works with the St. Paul Healing Center, providing clinical direction, support and program leadership. Sara has worked in many fields of clinical social work, including outpatient therapy, crisis response and medical social work. She has a special interest in trauma-informed assessment, suicide prevention and anti-racist / anti-oppressive practices.

Sara has a Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota (2004), a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from St. Catherine’s University (2010), and a post-graduate certificate in Human Services Leadership from the University of Minnesota (2021).
