Violeta Hernández Espinosa

Violeta Hernández Espinosa is a community development professional and consultant who currently serves as director of Early Childhood Initiatives at Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio (CLUES), where she is leading the establishment and growth of programs and services to better serve the youngest in our communities. 

As an immigrant leader, with a passion for changing the trajectories of underserved and under-resourced communities, Ms. Hernández Espinosa has amassed extensive experience across the private, public, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, at the local, state, national and international levels. She has managed staff, projects and programs in the areas of legislative and policy affairs, equity and inclusion, international development, education, philanthropy, human resources, commodity merchandising and business development. Violeta’s passion for local to international affairs has taken her to live and work in various countries around the world. 

Ms. Hernández Espinosa holds a Master’s of Development Practice in International Development from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in International Management and Spanish from Gustavus Adolphus College.
