ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Center for Victims of Torture™ (CVT) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jared Janeczko as vice president and chief financial officer. He brings a solid background in financial strategy and operational leadership to the organization.

Mr. Janeczko has more than two decades of experience leading finance teams as well as enterprise operations including technology and organizational transformation. He most recently served as chief operating officer for the German Marshall Fund of the United States, a nonpartisan organization that focuses on international policy and issues related to security and technology. In this role, he led three teams including finance, technology and functions focused on people and culture, ensuring that a sustainable operating model was established to position the organization for growth. Prior to that, he served as associate vice president of operations at CARE USA, a global anti-poverty nonprofit that provides crisis response and ongoing support, with a focus on women and families. During his tenure, he was instrumental in achieving revenue growth and implementing priority strategic initiatives across operations and technology.

“I’m delighted to have Jared join the CVT team, and I look forward to working together as we advance our global growth strategy,” said Sonya Funna Evelyn, president and CEO. “Jared has an impressive track record of achieving strategic expansion and long-term financial sustainability; his skills and expertise will be uniquely valuable to us as we broaden our work to serve as many people whose dignity and humanity have been violated by human rights abuses.”

Mr. Janeczko said, “It’s an honor to join CVT, an organization with its heart in Minnesota and a global presence of healing and resilience services and skills for people who need those most. This is an exciting time, even if a challenging time, and I look forward to working with this impressive team as we build on the strategic pathway for growth and stability.”
